During those 37 years of primary school teaching, mainly in Sydney, I loved all aspects of it but I guess that ex-pupils are going to remember the accordion, the dancing, the art and me taking lots of pictures, including, at one stage lots of 8mm movies. In 1972, I went and told MY primary school teacher, back in the Netherlands, how much I had copied him in doing all these things.
I still have the newsletters he started off in the early 50s and the photo in which I was one of the minor characters in his Opereta. He invited me to come and look at the movies that HE took on school excursions, and we found me, very briefly, standing arms folded, not game to jump in, beside the pool with the artificial wave-making machine.
I have already set up an MSN-group to show ex-pupils photos that I took and I will avoid individual photos here.
Do email me, if you were an ex-pupil and I might have pictures of excursions, carnivals, open days, etc., etc., that you might like to see. Please save time by adding something to your message that makes it clear that you WERE a student at a school where I taught.
